Unique workshops with Roger Sinha: Combining Contemporary dance with Indian dance
Share your high energy and curiosity with Roger Sinha at these unique workshops!
You are a professionnal dancer? A student? You would like to learn the choreographic language of Roger Sinha? Even be part of a professionnal production...?
From October 10th to 15th 2011, Roger Sinha will be offering a series of workshops based on his own personal choreographic language. His style marries Bharata Natyam (mudras and complex footwork) with contemporary dance.
Plus, one of the participants will be chosen by Roger Sinha to follow the process of creation for the next production of Sinha Danse, as a trainee and observer next December 2011 and January 2012.
The purpose of the workshop is to permit the student to integrate elements of Indian dance and contemporary dance, to increase the sense of precision by working with the mudras and to develop a greater sense of rhythm.
Technique classes will be offered in the morning and will be followed, in the afternoon, by an exploration of both Sinha Danse repertory and creative process.
